About Sector 5’s Commitment to Universal Service
The Universal Service Administrative Company is dedicated to achieving universal service, enabling everyone in the U.S. to accessible, affordable, and pervasive high-speed connectivity.
Despite pervasive connectivity in most urban areas in the United States, millions of people across the country have no access to broadband services needed to work, learn, heal, and communicate. The funds USAC administers exist to fill these gaps in access. As an independent not-for-profit designated by the FCC, USAC administers the Universal Service Fund, with almost $10 billion available annually to the companies and institutions that make universal service possible.
With the guidance of policy created by the FCC, USAC collects and delivers funding through four programs focused on places where broadband and connectivity needs are critical. These programs serve people in rural, underserved, and difficult-to-reach areas.
Add significant value to your E-rate client’s Eligible Services proposal by offering exciting and proven learning enhancements utilizing the Sector 5 E3 Chromebook and bundled solutions.
DESIGNED for EDUCATION
According to IDC, Chromebooks offer a 61% lower total cost of ownership than the devices they replaced or would otherwise have purchased because:
Chromebooks are cost effective.
Chromebooks are operationally efficient, requiring substantially less time to deploy, maintain, and support.
Chromebooks are reliable, which saves students — as well as teachers and administrators — time that would otherwise be spent on device-related problems.
In addition to these benefits, interviewed schools described how Chromebooks have enabled them to put devices and learning applications in the hands of more students. As a result, teaching and learning are enhanced through greater collaboration, engagement, and access to learning materials.
The Sector 5 E3 Chromebook leads the market with such features a powerful Intel quad-core Apollo Lake processor with HD graphics. Along with its competitive pricing the product has been called, by industry authorities, “Best in Class.” See https://chromeunboxed.com/sector-5-chromebook-e3-best-in-class/
SECURE and SIMPLE
Chromebooks are fast, simple, and secure. Because they run on Google’s Chrome OS, Chromebooks have multiple layers of security that protect students from the latest malware. With their unique identity model, students can customize their settings, including accessibility features, and no matter which device they pick up, their settings will follow.
